Sean Bell - The verdict is in!
Three New York City police detectives were ACQUITTED of felony charges
for the October 2006 fatal shooting of 23 year old Sean Bell. Detectives
Gescard Isnora, Michael Oliver and Marc Cooper fired 50 shots at Bell
and two of his friends, Joseph Guzman and Trent Benefield after a night
out celebrating Bell's bachelor party. The officers stood trial the past
weeks on charges of manslaughter, felony assault and reckless
endangerment; they would have faced up to 25 years if convicted.
