Dave Matthews Band returns to Staples Center in August
Typically when Dave Matthews comes to SoCal he favors outdoor venues - Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Home Depot Center, Coors Amphitheatre. He’s never played the Pond/Honda Center, for instance.
Staples Center, though, he seems to like - he played there in 2004 on his “… & Friends” (like Trey Anastasio) tour, and on Aug. 19-20 the proper DMB will play there for the first time in more than six years, since May 2002.
